Internship Opportunity
If you’ve ever wanted to help a real publishing house make real decisions about real authors’ books, you might be interested in joining Brandylane as a part-time intern. At Brandylane, our readers assist in reading and evaluating manuscripts as part of our acquisitions team. These unpaid internships typically last four to six months, and require a few hours of work each week, with regular, fixed weekly deadlines. Work can be completed remotely and at your own pace, giving you maximum flexibility in the completion of your assignments. Candidates should possess an excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; the ability to read and evaluate manuscripts from 5 to 300 pages weekly; and the ability to follow instructions and established guidelines when formatting their evaluations.
Brandylane accepts internship applications on a rolling basis. If you’re interested in interning with Brandylane Publishers, please email your résumé as an attachment to Robert and Erin with the subject line “Internship Inquiry,” and we will provide you with more information.

If interested, send résumé and a link to your online portfolio or website.

We occasionally use freelance Chicago Manual of Style qualified editors for overflow projects. If you have three and more years of professional experience as a book editor, you're welcome to send your résumé and your per-word rates for developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Illustrators
If you are an experienced or aspiring children’s book illustrator and would like to be considered for upcoming Brandylane and Belle Isle Books projects, please email us your résumé and a link to your online portfolio or website and we will keep you on file should a suitable project arise.
