Susan Emery

Susan Emery was born in Troy, NY, received her degree in art education from St Rose College in Albany, NY, and her master of science in art therapy from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She works in pen an ink and mixed media and gathers inspiration from everyday life. She receives help from her niece, Kate, and great-nephews, Jonah and Quinn, who photograph and posed for scenes, respectively. She loves that both Tansill's stories and their illustrations come from time spent with the young people in their lives.
